Khloé Kardashian Explained How Her Beauty Routine Changed After Becoming a Mom

Nobody said being a mommy was easy!

When you become a mom, your life can change drastically even for celebrities such as Khloe Kardashian. The world renowned, reality star, entrepreneur and Good-American co-founder told us about her post-pregnancy beauty routine in a video for Vogue. She gets honest about how challenging it is to do her makeup with her little toddler running around.

In the video you can see her baby, True Thompson in the background, darting from one room to another. In the video Khloe admitted, “Since becoming a mom, this is what I do. I literally locked my bedroom door, so she can’t get out, so she’s kinda trapped.” Then she can do her makeup while she is enclosed in the same room as herself.

The 35-year old mother explains that her daughter, True has free reign of the entire house, which requires Khloe constantly to be chasing her from one room to another. Maybe she hasn’t heard about baby gates yet?

Khloe said in the video “I had to learn how to do makeup really quickly and not to do many wet things, cause then once it’s wet and I have to run after her, it’s gonna set really weird and then I’m gonna look super blotchy.”

The reality star recognizes that skincare has always been a priority to her but it is even more so after giving birth. She found that post-pregnancy, your body is depleted of hydration and sleep-deprived, plus you don’t have the time to pamper your skin as you did before. So fine lines, wrinkles and red-puffy spots start to appear.

In her video for Vogue, Khloe explains how she tries to get True involved in helping her apply her makeup. “She loves to hand me brushes, she eats my sponges.” Plus she told the world that baby True loves pink Q-tips.

Khloe has not hidden that fact she loves her adorable daughter. The entrepreneur’s Instagram page has dozens of cute pictures of Khloe and True. Mostly, fans have had only said positive things about Khloe’s relationship with her daughter. But recently she has received some online shamming for spoiling her daughter after she posted a picture of a baby-sized Bentley that she gave True.

Khloe did not lower herself to the online shamming and responded quite eloquently on her Instragram post: “I’m able to look myself in the mirror and sleep well at night. I’m able to do that because I know I’m a good person, and life is all about balance. Yes I do choose to spoil my daughter. I want to spoil her with love as well as material items. She will also be raised with values, responsibilities, chores, respect, and self-love. We all work hard and we are able to spend our money in the way we choose.”

We have to admit that she summed everything up perfectly. The world needs more moms that place priority on their children’s happiness than their own. Plus, who are we to judge whether someone is spoiling her kids or not.

Is India the Next Big Global Beauty Market?

When Nykaa.com was launched in 2012, it only sold Maybelline lipsticks but since then the Indian beauty website has exceeded hundreds of millions of dollars. Nykaa.com has been valued at more than $750 million dollars, plus they have 35 physical brick-and-mortar stores and been called the Sephora of India.

The stratospheric growth of nykaa.com is just one example of the demand for beauty and wellness products within India. The beauty market within India was estimated at $6.5 billion in 2017 and should exceed $20 billion by 2025.

According to Sugar Cosmetics, a homegrown Indian beauty and cosmetic brand, the increased beauty demand is due to various factors. The first being that the country’s stable and growing economy has caused a spike in extra spendable income, allowing more women to indulge in makeup. The second reason is due to more people having easier access and exposure to the Internet.

Mukesh Ambani, the richest man in India, shook up India’s old-fashioned telecommunications sector by introducing Jio in 2016. His mobile service provided India with free calls and unlimited data for less than two dollars a month. Since 2016, most of the country has access to the Internet. More women are online and they are aspiring to look more beautiful.

But not just with women in larger cities but also in smaller towns. Plus, more and more women are sharing the Daily-Look-of-the-Day (#LOTD) posts and searching for beauty hacks. This has spurred a fast increase of makeup brands being discovered and has increased online sales.

Nykaa.com shared an interesting fact about their customers, more than eighty percent are millennials. Not only in North America are millennials known for their thirst for social media, exploring global trends and following reviews but also in India.

Indian women have always considered fair skin to be the ultimate sign of beauty but millennial Indian woman want to change what was historically considered to be beautiful. The beauty industry is learning to listen to their consumers by providing them with products that they really want to use.

For example, when homegrown beauty brands post on social media, pictures of darker-complexion models, their followers actively promote them. With comments such as “so happy to see actual Indian girls!”

Women throughout India have actually boycotted one of the legacies Indian brands – Lakmé because their brand isn’t inclusive and only offers three foundation tones. Lakmé has been the most ubiquitous brands in India but if they don’t start listening to their customers needs they will be a name of the past soon.

Sugar and Nykaa are taking over the beauty and cosmetic market as they dominate the online market and create products that promote inclusivity. For example, Nykaa’s newest foundation comes in 16 different shades and Sugar just launched a foundation stick that will come in more than 22 different shades.

Even though there has been a tremendous growth in the beauty market within India, many international brands are cautious about taking a bite out of this market. Companies and brands are trying to step into this market, such as Sephora, Smashbox, etc., but they are making slow progress.

Chrissy Teigen Responds to Body Shaming Tweet

People just can’t seem to stop body shaming Chrissy Teigen, there is always someone criticizing her for taking her little son to see the dentist or someone thoughtlessly asking her if she is pregnant again. But she doesn’t conceal herself, she powerfully responds.

She has proved to be a fierce lady to mess with when a Twitter user posted a picture of her with the sole purpose of mocking Teigen’s backside.

The whole saga started when the Twitter user called @OfficiallyIce posted a recent paparazzi picture of Teigen and her husband on vacation. Chrissy is standing up in the hot tub holding her son Miles, apparently about to exit the hot tub. Her husband, Legend seems to look slightly displeased and looking in the direction of Teigen’s backside in her bathing suit.

The Twitter user put the caption under the picture “I’m *** crying bruh.”

Chrissy Tiegen responded within a few hours but she didn’t show the world that she was intimidated by this guy’s insults. Tiegen wrote back on Twitter: ” Everyone is so used to ass shots and photo-shopped instagrams. I’ve had no ass forever – is this new news to some of you?”

But she didn’t stop there, within a few minutes she tweeted back, calling out the users such as @OficiallyIce double agendas. Stating the obvious truth that they will never be pleased with what she does, even if she surgically altered her butt they’d still make fun of her. Saying that she is bored as hell, feeling she can never win.

Finally the Twitter user responded to Teigen’s posts, stating that he was laughing at Legend’s facial expression and not Teigen’s body. But then, Teigen didn’t let him get away with it, stating the basic truth that the joke originated from assuming that he was looking at her butt.

“His grossed out face looking at my ass. You don’t need to explain this to me,” Teigen stated. “I get it. I know the meme and I see the 100s of comments under it about my body and his reaction to it. You were clowning on me, or his look at me. That’s all.”

The truth of the matter is that his so-called mockery was uncalled for, but Teigen made it clear that she wasn’t going to let his negativity bring her down. Stating a fact that cannot be denied, “I can say what I want, just like he can,” she added.

Teigen is known for speaking her mind in just about every subject from politics to her stretch marks. She mentioned in an interview with Glamour magazine how she deals these Internet trolls: “I’ve noticed that I’m really sensitive if I read a Twitter first thing in the morning, so I let myself breathe for a little bit, then the same comment won’t affect me the same way in the afternoon. You just stop becoming sensitive to it all ready.”

In a perfect world, there would be no body-shamers and mommy-shamers but until then, we need fighters like Chrissy Tiegen to defend us women.

What do we think about Bob Haircut? Is it for you, or is it not?

All women have gone through the moment when we decided to make a style change and cut our hair. Many times we make behind-the-scenes decisions such as cutting our hair short, over our shoulders or even shorter than that.

But if you are like me, you always decide to get advice before making a change of this type, maybe with a trusted hairdresser or looking for different hairstyles on the Internet.

This is when we are attracted to the famous bob cut. And if you too have been attracted and seduced by BOB then here you will find some excellent recommendations made by InStyle magazine.

“If there is any kind of weight line on the ends, the hair always wants to naturally flip out. Even running a flat iron through it will still have a bulky result with that weight line,” he explains. “To prevent this from happening, ask your hairstylist for an undercut. This allows the hair coming from the nap to go from shorter to longer, which will give a more shattered and lived in look.”
He says another common mistake is thinking that the bob has to be all one length. While a blunt bob may look uniform, there need to be interior layers in it to further prevent weigh, and thus, flippy ends. “Weight distribution is key with bobs,” he explains. “It really doesn’t matter what approach you take for styling. If the cut isn’t correct, it will make for a complicated at-home styling!”
